Projects and travel time

Project time tracking is an add-on and switched off by default – so the interface stays lean for businesses without projects. An admin switches it on under Company → Features ("Project time tracking", and additionally "Field work and travel time" for travel time).

Customers and projects

Under Projects admins create customers and projects – optionally with a project number, their own hourly rate, a budget in hours and whether the project is billable. Projects without a customer are internal. By default everyone may book on a project; alternatively only selected members. An hourly rate can also be stored per person (under People); the project's rate takes precedence.

Booking time on projects

When clocking under Today, choose project and type: work, away (field work, on site at a customer) or travel. A change during the day starts a new block.

Travel time

The company decides how travel time counts in the time account: fully, partly (as a percentage) or not as working time. Field work always counts fully. Per project you decide whether travel time is billed in the project report.

Project report

The report under Projects shows the hours of a month per customer and project, with amounts if desired – as PDF and CSV.
